+hit rating! Argh!

I picked up Gloves of the Stonereaper last night on roll, which was a nice upgrade over Gloves of Fast Reactions even though it put me 39 rating over the hit cap.

I've downgraded slightly from Strong-Handed Ring to Ring of Invincibility to get my +hit down. Now I'm only 11 over the cap, and any other +hit gear I could swap out would result in a DPS loss.

What's killing me now is I just noticed the T8 chest I'm saving for has *+49* hit rating. My current T7 chest has none. Pain.

I've figured out while writing the above why I'm in this situation: I never got the T7 gloves from Sarth, so I can't use that slot for the T7 bonus. I either have to get T7 gloves, T8 gloves from Mimiron, or Lotrafen from Vezax. (And I wouldn't take Lotrafen over a feral or hunter DG who doesn't have Twisted Visage yet.)

Guess that means I should look for Sarth pugs... but the ratio of time investment / chance of getting the token would be really poor.

WTB guild Sarth run?

umm can't you get that gloves from either naxx or arch in vault?

Gauntlets of the Lost Vanquisher are a 67% drop from Sartharion. They do not drop from any boss in Naxx.

Valorous Dreamwalker Handgrips are a 1.3% drop from Archavon.

Conqueror's Nightsong Handgrips are a 1.9% drop from Emalon.

I'll keep going to Vault runs as I'm able, but I'm not going to figure that that instance will solve my problem.

ahh I see, I didn't realize they don't drop from any naxx bosses.

If the T7 bonus is all you care about, 60 heroic badges will get you Heroes' Dreamwalker Handgrips.

I've got a pair of those from a Sarth10 outing, but the loss of other stats is just too much to make them a good way to drop hit rating.

3D is harder on 10 though. On 25 you can bring too-few tanks and burn. Or so I hear. Smile

Problem solved via killing Mimiron. +hit problem gone, and now have 2t8+2t7 to boot. Yay!

The +hit rating problem has gotten worse in T9 content. I'm back to using Mirror of Truth because I can't use the +hit on Grim Toll and the proc alone isn't worth enough. (And there isn't any other way of dropping +hit that performs better.)

To see hit rating on T9 Gloves and Legs as well makes me sad. My Proto-Hide Leggings end up being the best available simply because they have no +hit, and the +hit budget is better spent elsewhere (until I can get 4T9.5).

But good news everyone! There's no +hit at all on the T10 Feral set. Plus there's a known +hit-less trinket and weapon.

So as long as we're able to find 3-4+hit-less options among Neck, Back, Wrist, Belt, Boots, Ring1, Ring2, and Trinket2, we'll be able to make use of other +hit items for their full value.

(Dear Blizzard, Druids can't dual-wield, kthxbai.)
