I was checking out CNET the other day and ran across this thing that they are doing...
The Cheapskate's 100 Days of Deals
Most of these deals are for a fairly limited time only, so you might only be able to grab the current days deal or possibly the day or two before, but so far most of them have looked great.
Past deals include a 42" Plasma TV for $499, GH3: Legends of Rock for $18.67, 3 LED flashlights for $5, an 802.11n Router for $24.99, and so on. _________________

I wish I had gotten to this earlier today, they had a 10-inch Lenovo netbook for $209 shipped. The new Intel Atom processor (1.6GHz), 1GB of Ram, 160GB Hard Drive, etc. (Yesterday was a TV from Best Buy that I would have liked to grab too, haha)
I like Lenovo. I mean I don't really need a netbook, but I might have seriously considered buying one of those anyway. It's not like I wouldn't use it.
On an unrelated note, for those of you who are interested in Black Friday shopping try this link -- http://bfads.net/Adscans
I didn't know prior to this week that Black Friday was a shopping thing on the Friday after Thanksgiving. I just thought it was the name for that day when the Stock Market crashed. I am totally going to try shopping on Black Friday this year though. _________________

Here in NY (where I'm at my parents' for Thanksgiving, although Connecticut is basically NY Lite so same goes) more people know the reverse, Riske. Since going ANYWHERE with shopping on the Friday after Thanksgiving is potentially fatal...
...seriously. Last year 3 people got trampled to death at different Walmarts in the greater NYC area... _________________ "I would call it to mind--yet I shrink from the dread power.

The term comes from old business slang. Since that day is when retail stores typically started to turn a profit on the year, ("In the black", as opposed to "In the Red" for a loss) it was noted as Black Friday. _________________ Settingsun

Going to bump this to say that it's not just the 100 days of deal thing -- they do this all of the time. So not sure what was different then from now.
XBox 360 Premium for $150 is the deal today, I think that is a model that usually goes for more, and since we're all about games here I thought I'd share.
I check this site most days just in case, though so far I've managed to avoid purchasing much of anything. The free offers (like the DVD burning software I got the other day) are usually worth it. And if I wanted a netbook then I'd probably take one of their deals.
